Margit Juhasz, MD, FAAD, AACMS, FASDS
Dr. Margit Juhasz is a dual board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologist, fellowship-trained in micrographic surgery, dermatologic oncology, cosmetics, hair disorders, and inflammatory skin diseases. She is dedicated to providing advanced, patient-centered dermatologic care with a focus on achieving the best possible medical and aesthetic outcomes for each individual.
Dr. Juhasz earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where she was awarded the prestigious Mount Sinai Scholars as Leaders Merit Scholarship and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Summer Fellowship. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, where she served as Chief Resident of Surgery and Research, followed by a Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
A recognized leader in her field, Dr. Juhasz has been named a “Rising Derm Star” multiple times and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, accumulating more than 1,600 citations in leading national and international journals. Her groundbreaking research on the alopecia areata microbiome earned her the La Fondation La Roche-Posay Grant, along with several pharmaceutical research grants for studies on alopecia, atopic dermatitis, and innovative uses of non-invasive cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Juhasz is a frequent speaker at national and international dermatology conferences, where she shares her expertise on topics such as novel alopecia therapies, advanced melanoma treatment using Mohs micrographic surgery, and the latest developments in cosmetic dermatology.
